Seven Mile was founded in direct response to the harsh cuts to the music and arts education funding in Detroit public schools. While it started as a music program, the student-led organization has expanded to include art, writing, and coding enrichment as well.
With many Detroit schools now being able to allocate more funds to the arts, Seven Mile works closely with several community partners to provide additional exposure outside of school.
